"So gratefull thank you"

About: Royal Eye Infirmary

What I liked

I posted comments after my first conceal transplant in nov 08' My sight is now fantastic. I have had my other eye done some 6 months ago and the outcome is mind blowing. I am so gratefully to the doners and to the clinical team who made it all possible, my whole life has been changed and I find it difficult to put into words my appreciation.

I note though that nothing changes in the admin dept though, even after all the waffle given to my by the management at the time, it appears to still be in a state of chaos.

Will it all change when they go to derriford, I wonder? Doesn't matter where you are based, it seems a sad lacking of leadership, perhaps let the clinical staff run the appointments .

Anyway thank you my consultant and staff.

Dear Alan

Thank you for your comments regarding your eye surgery and I was very happy to note the difference this has made to your life.

Please can I reassure you that the Trust is listening to comments with regard to adminstration of appointments with a view to improving. It will be great to welcome our colleagues from the REI to the Derriford site and we are confident this will aid better communication as at present, the appointments team are located away from the clinical area which is not ideal.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards

Mary
