What I liked
The doctors and a few of the night shift nurses.
What could be improved
My whole experience of this hospital was varied, the doctors were caring and attentive as were some of the nurses but others really let this hospital down. It seemed that the skill level between nurses was very mixed, particularly between the elder nurses. I was often told conflicting things such as whether doctors were available in the evening and when I could have medication.
I found that some nurses really should have been re-trained on taking blood as they were both rough, clumsy and failed numerous times to actually draw blood.
My biggest complaint of this hospital was of one particular nurse in S4, she without a shadow of doubt is one of the rudest nurses I have ever met, she talked down to me and my girlfriend/friends regularly and would often say inappropriate things.
Not only was this massively inappropriate was also completely wrong ( I had high creatinine levels which is hardly something that means death )
Anything else?
I feel that this particular nurse really let down the ward and I would not recommend this hospital unit because of her.
