I get excellent integrated care in Plymouth both at home and in hospital.
I have multiple health challenges including COPD, CPAP, Sleep Apnoea, Emphysema & Diabetes. Penelope Andrews comes to visit me whenever necessary and I am under the oxygen team at Derriford as I am oxygen dependent.
Everyone who looks after me is first class and goes over and above the call of duty. For example, Ruthie was finishing at 5pm and came to see me at 4. 40pm, she did tests and convinced me to go into hospital. The way she talked to me was fantastic.
In hospital, staff always had time for me, explained things really thoroughly and even the doctors spoke to me in language I actually understood. The care couldn’t be improved on.
The only thing bad thing is the food. It’s always lukewarm and tastes the same.
"First class care and staff but bland, lukewarm food"
