About: St Albans City Hospital

What I liked

My husband attended the Minor Injuries unit on Saturday 4th August - only to find a notice stuck on the door saying it was Closed - I phoned the switchboard of St Albans to hear that they too had not been made aware of this and were therefore giving out wrong info to patients.

No point in having a service if it is not available at contracted times.

What could be improved

It could have been open.

Anything else?

Is this a sign of more closures?

The Trust is sorry for any inconvenience caused to its patients by the one-day closure of the Minor Injuries Unit on 4 August. The Trust makes every effort to avoid closing any of its patient services, but unfortunately on this occasion a temporary closure was necessary due to staffing issues.
