What I liked
I apologies for taking so long to write, i had my baby at southmead hospital in May 2012. I was induced and then had an emergency section. i had a temperature in labour which was picked up straight away and both my baby and I were started on antibiotics. Unfortunatly my baby boy became ill the following night. Again thiswas picked up extremely quickly and although very frightening for me was dealt with very quickly and professionally and with care and compassion to me. All the midwives, nurses, doctors, auxillary and domestic staff throughtout my stay were amazing. kind, compassionate, excellent at communicating what was happening and supportive. My baby was in NICU for a week and all the staff both there and on Mendip ward where i was given my own room, were fabulous. As my baby was unwell, he would not feed and everyone was fantastic at helping me persevere with breast feeding, i kknow without this support i would have given up and continue to breast feed now. The staff on Quantock where i was induced and on the delivery suite were also amazing and i think the team at southmead are great. I would highly recommend this hospital and felt i had a very good experience despite my baby being unwell. Thankyou to all.
What could be improved
I cannot think of anything that could be improved,
"A professional, caring and compassionate..."
