"Made to feel at ease all the time."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What I liked

The professional way I was treated. Going in for an operation is very worrying but was made to feel more at ease by the professional but friendly manner that I was treated. I was made aware of all aspects of what was happening. I had to have a short stay in the hospital and again was treated with respect and made to feel an individual. Staff did not pass without making a friendly comment.

What could be improved

Very little but maybe the food. I am not a fussy eater so was happy with the food I was given but it could still have been improved on.

Anything else?

I was discharged on a Friday even though a doctor had felt that it might be better to keep me under observation another day. No secret was kept that the reason for this was to make bed space for the weekend rush. I was happy to leave as it would have meant being in hospital until the Monday but was given good instruction/information on dressing the wound and what to do/who to contact if I wasn't happy with anything.
