What I liked

I spent 5 days on ward 16 following a riding accident. The ward was very bright, pleasant and importantly very clean! I was made to feel very welcome and cared for. The staff were so friendly and attentive even though they were incredibly busy.

The nursing staff worked tirelessly seeing to the needs of all patients on the ward. They talked me through pain management options with clarity and compassion.

I am very very grateful to them for making an unpleasant situation pleasant!

Anything else?

It is very sad to always hear such negativity about the Alex. The various units have cared for me and my 3 children over the last 15 years so well. I would choose the Alex over the larger Worcestershire hospital any day.

Thank you for your very positive comments on the NHS Choices website. The whole team on Ward 16 work extremely hard to ensure their patients receive the care and attention they need. It is pleasing to read that you felt you were nursed with compassion and that the team were attentive and I will ensure that all members of staff are made aware of your very generous praise.
