"Pleasant day surgery experience"

What I liked

I had a small operation at Day Surgery and initially I was supposed to have full anaesthetic however the doctor came to see me and told me that it could be done with local anaesthetic, and wether I would like that. I agreed and he reassured me several times which made me feel very relaxed. At the operation theatre all nurses and support staff were very friendly and supportive, asked me several times if I needed extra blankets and if I'm comfortable. The staff prepared very well for the operation washed and sterilised themselfs thoroughly, followed procedure. The surgeon explained everything thoroughly and asked me everytime if I was OK. He told me what I would feel and what he was going to do. Within half an hour I was back at the ward smiling.
