"not a very pleasant experiance, renal dept letting..."

What I liked

visited a few years ago, thought the hospital was lovely,my father was treated very well.Since then i have been twice with my father who is 87years old where we visited the renal clinic and oh my god what a disaster,we had to wait over an hour and a half both times, all the patients were very cross and aggitated,it was very warm in the waiting room not a window open, the rest of the hospital was lovely and cool. The nurses didnt seem very happy at all they all seemed very stressed. The consultant my father was seeing didnt arrive till eleven forty five which was my fathers appointment, but by then he had about six patients to see,how can this happen in this day and age.My father was quite stressed because he had another appointment to keep,so we left and told the receptionist why,she was not at all helpful never even offered my father another appointment or said she was sorry, what has happened to customer care these days,it doesnt cost a penny to say sorry.

What could be improved

consultants getting to work on time,Appointment times not six at the same time,as we realised from the other patients,Being made aware as you arrive how long your wait is going to be,and given a choice whether you want to wait or make another appointment.

Anything else?

really felt sorry for the other patients, one lady had brought a picnic how sad is that.
