"Good but with some queries"

What I liked

The staff were helpful and nice and I was able to get support when I was unsure about something.

What could be improved

My baby was born with a tongue tie but when I queried about it, nobody ever got back to me. I wished the midwives and assistants had confirmed this and provided me with info about how to manage / have it snipped. Just because i was breasfeeding alright, no one did anything about it on the ward. I had to wait for community midwife to confirm this a week after discharge and it took more than another week for us to get an appointment to have it snipped. In the meantime, our baby suffered from a lot of wind as he couldn't suck properly.

Also I was on Elm ward and couldn't help notice that all the 4 ladies in there were Asians. The bed diagonally opposite me was empty when I was admitted but an Asian lady was admitted shortly after me. The one opposite me got discharged at the end of the day and early the following morning another Asian lady was admitted. I would want to know whether there is any reason as to this practice. There were empty beds on the other wards ( which you can see as you walk to and from the bathroom) but the Asian women were admitted on Elm only. I would very much appreciate a reply. Many thanks
