What I liked

after an hour of sitting there with out even being signed in by the ambulance that took me in, i asked when i was going to be seen to which they then signed me in and i waited another hour, an elderly woman was clearly being neglected screamig for 45 minuites and had pulled all of the wires out and no nurses helped her. The staff was rude and discriminating against my appearance. i was in a cubical and i heard the nurses laughing and taking the mick out of how i looked right out side the curtain. I asked for a gown as i did not feel comfortable being exposed, one was thrown at me, and the nurse just stood there looking at me, i asked them to give me some privacy as i wanted to change and they wouldn't leave. the same nurse shocked me when a man was brought in and his face was badly beaten or hurt and they loudly started to laugh at him and insensitively stared at his injuries in disgust, kissed their teeth and said 'he is ugly'. I refused a bloodtest as i fear needles and it was not necessary a doctor kept grabbing my arm and slapping it for veins being forceful when i was clearly feeling panicked and uneasy whilst the other nurses laughed at me. The nurses was extreamly insensitive to the point i refused treatment and walked. I was utterly disgusted and hope to never go there again, this is ot the first story like mine i have heard. They was not helpful on advice on getting home with no money, luckily a bus driver let me on for free.

What could be improved

The main thing would be staffs attitude to patients. Discrimination should not be tolerated in any shape or form, If a patient asks for the privacy to get changed then that should be respected, Lack of care was something i noticed and this should be reviewed and changed. Lack of sensitivity also should be changed and lack of respect.
