What I liked
My 14 year old daughter was rushed to A&E on Friday with febrile convulsions, breathing difficulties and severe chicken pox. The ambulance crew who came assessed her and within minutes we were on our way to Dewsbury hospital. The ambulance crew couldn't have been any more efficient or reassuring. When we arrived at A&E my daughter was immediately attended to by a nurse, followed very shortly by a Doctor. They ran various tests and were very attentive, friendly and caring. My daughter was very scared and all the staff did all they could to help her feel less so. We were then taken up the the Children's Ward 7 for her to be assessed. Again the nurses, doctors and consultant were all very helpful and caring. The desicion was made to admit her overnight and I was able to stay with her all the time. Again all the staff couldn't do enough to look after her and explain what was going on. Thankfully she was able to be discharged the following day, but had to return on Monday for further blood tests - again we were treated by friendly, helpful and attentive staff. I can't praise the ambulance crew, A&E staff and Ward 7 staff enough for their care and attention during a very stressful couple of days. Thankyou.
What could be improved
Nothing.
