What I liked

My outpatients appointment was my first visit to PAH for 25 years. I have to say the place was spotless and smelled fresh. My appointment was virtually on time and the doctor who saw to me today was so courteous, gentle and informative that I thought I must have been mistaken for a private patient! I will certainly ask for this consultant again and I wish most other doctors would emulate his manner.

What could be improved

Just one thing amiss in that rather large old man in a rather large motorised buggy was moved in down the corridor to clear way for trolleys and assured that they would know he was aside of the waiting room when he was called. When he was called fom a treatment area adjoining the waiting area by another member of staff they definitely did not know he was further down and the waiting patients had to let the caller know where he was. Slight failure of communications there and I think a a few chairs could have been moved to accommodate his buggy as it was not busy.
