About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

What I liked

My husband was admitted by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham to have a stent fitted and from the time he was admitted until he left he had first class treatment. He was kept informed about what was happening during the procedure, the staff were very efficient. In fact the air ambulance crew saved his life as his heart stopped and they had to use a difibrillator to get his heart going again. The staff were amazing and explained everything from diet to future needs and I have no hesitation in recommending this hospital as, in our opinion, it is one of the best in the country. Thank you doesn't even come close and we will be doing all we can to raise funds for the air ambulance in future.

We are very pleased that he had such a positive experience whilst being cared for at our hospital. Your feedback has been passed on to the senior managers of the area that cared for your husband, they will ensure it is shared with their teams.

It is a real morale boost for staff to receive feedback like this from patients and their relatives. It means such a lot to know that the hard work, dedication and commitment of our staff is recognised and valued in this way. It is also very satisfying for staff to hear they have made such a difference to their patients and made sure your husband’s experience under our care has been positive.

We are really pleased too that he was able to benefit from the skill and expertise of the Air Ambulance at such a critical time. We have passed your feedback onto them so they are aware of your gratitude, I’m sure the Air Ambulance team will be really happy to hear that their input resulted in such a positive outcome for your husband.
