"Upset about care at birth of my son, born 'sleeping'"

My son died before he was born, but I had to have a natural labour. During the induction of labour in March 2012, while I was contracting the midwife who cared for me was brilliant. Unfortunately the next morning when I was fully dilated my midwife's shift was over and I was handed over to another member of staff.
Before I gave birth it was discussed that there would be two midwives, one to see to me and one who would take care of my son. When I gave birth to my son one of the midwives placed my son in a cot, he wasn't covered or swaddled and he was just left lying there, it felt like he was just discarded.
It was also planned that the midwife would take photos and dress my son which did not happen. One midwife was more concerned about getting me some toast. I tore during delivery and needed stitches. A trainee was appointed to stitch me while another qualified midwife overlooked the procedure. At no point was I asked if this was okay. It took an hour to be stitched and by the time I got to see my son nature had taken its course and his bruising was really bad.
My partner went mad and asked what they were doing. After all if my son had been alive he wouldn't have been shoved in the corner and forgotten about, it was only then that another midwife got my son dressed and took some pictures.
I think it is disgraceful that a trainee was used to stitch me in such horrific circumstances. I believe I should have been asked and given the option to decline. I understand that trainee midwives need to learn at some point but I feel they should practice on a woman who has had a live birth and it being a much happier occasion. It was insensitive.
My stitches also got infected. I saw the midwife for the first 5 days and before being discharged I was told that I would receive a post natal check up at 6 weeks and I would see a consultant to discuss the findings of the tests I had to find out if there was a cause to my baby's death.
Five months on I still have not had a post natal check up and when I went to my doctors 2 weeks ago to see about the test results she said there was nothing on the system about my birth or test results.
It feels like just because my baby was not born alive, I have just been forgotten and it doesn't matter, although I had a natural labour. This has been playing on my mind for a while now but I just have not been able to face going over the horrific situation.
I would like to make a formal complaint but I am not sure how to go about this. I would be extremely grateful if you could contact the "professionals" on my behalf.
