I had to take my brother to North Manchester Hospital (Crumpsall) twice recently. The first time we waited for almost two hours after the appointment time then had a really long wait in the blood test dep't.
The second time (which was a month later) we waited for more than two hours after the appointment time - getting to see the doctor in the evening. The doctor wanted another blood test but that dep't was closed...so we now have to go and queue again.
My brother cannot travel alone and I have had to take time off work to accompany him. On neither occasion was any explanation for the delay given. Other patients were getting really distressed / hungry / thirsty / concerned about transport. One lady said she had been waiting 3 hours.
