"Xray dept at Mount Gould"

About: Sentinel Healthcare Southwest Community Interest Company / Shoulders, Knees & Feet (muscles & bones)

(as the patient),

I came to the Mount Gould Care Centre back in May for an xray, there was a long wait to be seen. It was a very busy day there though.

I then came for my follow up and I was seen 5 minutes after my appointment time, and I was out not much later.

The nurses were really nice, if I asked them a question they told me exactly what was going on and involved me. They were very responsive.

The first letter I got about my appointment didn't give me enough information, I wasn't sure where to go. I would have liked directions.

The xray waiting rooms are windowless, airless and claustrophic. It isn't a great environment to be in.

Dear Fire910

Thank you for adding your experience to Patient Opinion.

Firstly my apologies you had a long wait for your X-ray appointment in May but pleased that you were seen promptly for your follow up appointment.

It’s great to read you were happy with the care you received form the nurses, your feedback will be shared with the staff.

The feedback you have given about the letter is something we can look to improve and you may have explained a concern that other patient’s are experiencing. I will share your feedback with our support manager to look at editing the appointment letter to include directions. This will be useful information for all patients.

In reference to the X-ray waiting rooms I will forward to the site manager who may be able to advise further on this point.

Thank you again for adding your story, the feedback received does really help in making improvements to the service.

Wishing you all the best
