2 days ago I woke up with a rather large painfull swelling inside my mouth/jaw for the last 2 days I have been trying to get treatment from a dentist.
I have rang nhs direct twice and been told that a dentist is not able to see me while after saturday. I explained that I am unable to buy over the counter pain killers as I am on heart medication. I have rang approx 20/25 nhs dentists, and at a last resort I contacted my own doctor only to be told me I cannot have an appointment for dental problems, even after explaining it was an infection I have.
I find it rather disgusting that untill recently I have worked all my life, paid my stamp, and still cannot get the treatment I need. I'm angry and hurt by the system.
