"My Husbands Last Days"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted into Meadvale Ward on 30th May 2012 with suspected pneumonia, after several courses of antibiotics which did not work he was given a CT scan. Unfortunately this revealed grim news for us as it was cancer, the dreaded news anyone can receive. Sadly my husband passed away the following day.

My family and I would like to say that the doctors and staff in Meadvale gave Brian extremely good treatment, and showed nothing but concern and empathy to all of us, we can only say that he would not have received better treatment anywhere, we would like to thank all the staff involved with his care.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, but thank you for sharing your experience. I will share your message with the team on Meadvale.

Such positive feedback supports staff morale and encourages everyone to sustain the high level of compassionate care we aim to deliver to all our patients.
