"No appointments"

About: Buttercross Health Centre

I attended the surgery on a Friday with severe stomach pain. I was told I could not see anyone. I would have to try again Monday morning.

There were just 3 patients in the waiting room.

Whenever I have been able to attend for an appointment, the atmosphere is calm and quiet.

Where are the doctors who are dashing about seeing to patients.

Where are the nurses ?

They seem to have plenty of time.

In Australia my doctor used to run everywhere. It kept him fit he said. He also saw tens of patients. We sat and waited if we didn't have an appointment

The service here in comparison is appalling

Thank you for your valued comments. Our doctors are very busy indeed. We have posters on the wall with the amount of workflow we have at the practice. We are just updating the figures but in September we had 7233 telephone calls. We booked 3742 appointments. On average we have 360 prescription requests per day.

Also in September we had 108 people who did not attend their appointment. This is the equivalent of 16 hrs clinical time. This time could have been used for those patients waiting to see a clinician. If you would like to discuss this please contact the practice.
