"Problem with patient transport"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

Last week, arrangements had been made to transport three day case patients and a carer to the Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank. I was one of the patients.

We had been told that the transport would leave in the early morning. However, the duty driver had not been informed of this requirement. After several phone calls, we were finally picked up three and a half hours later than was due. One of the patients had an appointment at this time.

This fell far short of the efficiency we expect from the Ambulance Service

Dear Jay

I'm sorry the Scottish Ambulance Service fell far short of your expectations last week. I'll try to find out where we fell down, based on your description above. I hope to update you soon, or to let you know if we're going to need more detailed information in order to look into this.

In the meatime, thank you for letting us know about this issue.
