"Good Practice"

About: Herschel Medical Centre

Herschel Medical Centre is a good local clinic.

It is usually possible to get through on the telephone and make an appointment.

As it is a 'training' centre it is not possible to see the same doctor - or a doctor you have asked to see.

Being given an appointment for a pharmacist is not helpful if you really want to see a doctor - and preferably a doctor you have seen before.

The nurse who does wound dressings is excellent.

Receptionists are helpful and efficient.

On the whole a good practice 8 out of 10

Dear Patient,

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback.

I understand it can be difficult to sometimes see your preferred clinician, we do always try to accommodate patients requests where appropriate but due to high demand I appreciate this is not always possible.

Our Clinical Pharmacists are available to see patients with acute/minor illness symptoms as well as health reviews.

They are always supported by our GP team so if there is ever a time where they need a GP for further input this would be available to them.

I was pleased to read you have had positive experiences with our nurse and reception team, I am sure they will be please to hear your feedback.

We are always looking to improve our patient experience, therefore your comments are much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Kelly Barrow

Practice Manager
