I’ve been treated for glaucoma since I was about 27 - well over 30 years ago. I’ve been treated at many places where I’ve lived, including Edinburgh but I’ve never experienced such an effective, caring and efficient department than the Eye Department at RBH. The caring staff, the smoothness with which the whole department operates is commendable and we are so lucky to have it. I’ve had laser treatments, surgery and am seen regularly every six months. It’s superb.

Thank you for your kind feedback about the Ophthalmology Department, they will be delighted to receive such praise.

I know they have been under extreme pressure recently with a high number of patient referrals and staff shortages, so to hear they have maintained an effective, caring and efficient service throughout will be uplifting to hear.
