Used to be a great surgery, very efficient and quick appointments.
Not anymore unfortunately. I find i have to chase everything up, referrals, prescriptions etc.
I was given a prescription by a doctor from Wythenshawe hospital and told to take it my GP.
I hand delivered it last Saturday, i heard nothing so i popped in on Thursday to be told that it was not ready. I was then told that i would receive a phone call the next day (Friday just gone) to tell me that it is ready.
I heard nothing and still havn't And still have no prescription. - Because of this i now to change my next appt at Wythenshawe as the doctor i am seeing there needs me to have used the prescription item for 6 weeks (i am due to see him in 4 weeks).
I'm fed up with having to chase up what should be a menial admin task.
This isn't the first time. Last year i had a knee op. The surgeon needed a referral letter from my GP. I lost count of how many times i had to phone to chase this up
Appointment waiting times are horrendous - Unless you are not a working person and can go in the daytime, otherwise you are looking at 3 to 4 weeks waiting time.
I have no confidence and am worried that as i get older and maybe need more from my GP i am not going to receive a decent level of service.
I have read a few replies to other review that say no details have been left. Maybe someone will call me with a response. (My name is in my email address)
Incidentally, last year i requested that a manager called me called me back regarding the knee op referral i mentioned before - Guess what? - Nobody called me!
