"NHS Lanarkshire Out of Hours"

About: Douglas Street Community Health Clinic NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

Our 5 year old daughter was very poorly. We contacted NHS 24 and were appointed to Douglas Street clinic within 2 hours. The clinic was absolutely packed and we waited about 1. 5 hrs to be seen. The staff were rushed off they’re feet but it was well worth the wait. Everyone was so lovely, I felt sorry for the staff as there was so many sick children. We had obs done immediately and she was safe enough to wait and those who weren’t were seen straight away.

Dear GB-19

Thank you for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I hope your little girl is doing much better. It sounds as though this has been a worrying time.

How good of you to compliment the staff at Douglas Street. I am sure they will be delighted with your kind words.

I see from your feedback that you called NHS 24 who referred your little one to be seen at the Out of Hours service. If you wish to provide any specific feedback about your call to 111, then I would be delighted to hear from you. You can get me on 0141 337 4582 or by email at patient.experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

Within NHS 24 many of our staff see the stories posted on Care Opinion. It is good for us to hear of the excellent onward care provided to patients by our colleagues in the Out of Hours after a call to our service ends.

Thanks again for sharing your story.

With best wishes to you and your little one.

Shona
