"The birthday of my baby boy"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

My waters went at 32 weeks, I was in every 2 days to be checked over and make sure I didn't have an infection, I went for a routine check up at 34 weeks to be told my baby had defecated in the womb so we had have our baby asap.

The ladies on ward 17 and labour ward were amazing. It was very busy so I had a few hour stay on the ward before going to labour ward..

We tried our hardest to deliver  naturally  but baby wasnt for coming, we had an amazing midwife, who looked after us and calmed me down as I hadn't ever been to theatre before and knew how scared I was..

Our beautiful baby boy  was born and rushed to SCBU where the staff where amazing, our beautiful boy was there for 11 days and without their help and support our beautiful baby boy wouldn't be here or would I have been able to successfully breastfeed and give my baby the best start.

The ladies on ward 17 looked after me through a difficult time, they made sure I was ok, took me to and from SCBU to see my baby, made sure I was resting, eating, and even gave me a shoulder to cry on.

The made a very hard and difficult time so much easier .. the ladies on ward 17 and SCBU do not get enough credit for the amazing work they do. I will forever be grateful for everything in those 13 days
