I had to have an ambulance to get me to hospital when I broke my ankle last week. The staff at Barnsley General were kind and very efficient ! Everything was explained to me and why I required the treatment - my ankle was dislocated and broken in 3 places. Requiring it to be put back into place and an operation.
The ward staff - ward 33 were very busy and looked after me with efficiency and kindness. They always made sure I was pain free.
My consultant explained clearly how the operation had gone and that his registrar had done a good job .
The food was much better than I'd anticipated. The best meal I had was Cottage pie . Totally yummy ! The porridge at breakfast was also yummy.
The staff in physio dept were excellent. Tamar, Kate and Mark are all stars - even if they worked me very hard, it was for my own good.
