"ENT - great service!"

About: North Manchester General Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

I was referred to the ENT consultant after taking multiple courses of antibiotics for sinus and chest infections. After my first I wasn't overly happy as it felt like the consultant was dismissing my ailment as purely allergy related, which I knew it wasn't as I'd suffered in all seasons and different climates!

He gave me a nasal spray which did alleviate the gunk but I still felt spaced out and pretty rotten. They did blood tests and checked up my nose. I never had to queue for long and the waiting room is fine.

On my second appt I persevered, and while I had the feeling that the consultant thought I was as hypocondriac(!) he eventually prescribed me a long term course of an antibiotics I'd not had before. After a few days I was feeling like my old self, if only I'd been given this 18 months earlier I could have avoided feeling rubbish for so long. So basically the consultant fixed me, and nearly 12 months on I've not needed antibiotics... And I'm still using the nasal spray which does seem to help keep things healthy. Thank you NM ENT department!
