"Felt as though relative was in 'safe hands' at North Devon District Hospital A&E"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a carer),

When he rang A&E he was seen straight away. Close to hospital-only ten miles. he was very upset and crying when he fell on the floor and became unconscious- he was highly embarrassed.

When we got to A&E he was treated straight away - we felt confident that he was receiving good treatment. Doctors didn't explain what treatment he was given but we left it with them- we felt he was in 'safe hands'.

We are confident about the treatment and care he will receive.

Dear earthy890

Thank you for commenting on your recent attendance at the Emergency Department (A&E)

I'm pleased to see you were seen swiftly and that as a carer you were happy to leave your charge in safe hands, at what was obviously a very worrying and stressful time for you.

I do hope he has recovered and is receiving the necessary treatment, and you wont need to attend again in the near future.

Jayne
