"Time & Money wasted"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital / Ophthalmology

The care from the consultants and staff is excellent, my bug bear is the appointments, 4 times recently i have been told i need to see a certain consultant and telling this to the appointments they say we will send the appointment in the post, all very well but when i go to my appointment this consultant is not on duty so many hours and much travelling money has been wasted, this morning before i made the journey i checked to make sure the consultant

was on duty before i set off only to be told he wasnt, so another appointment has to be made.I have to make arrangements for lifts as obviously i carnt drive after the appontments so this is putting a lot of people out of pocket as it is over a 60 mile return journey each wasted appointment.The person i spoke to on the phone this morning even said the consultants secretary had requested i see him so why carnt they get this right.
