"A big thank you to the consultant."

About: Leighton Hospital / Ophthalmology

My Mum is 91 and the cataract that she'd had done 2 years ago had clouded over. We were seen by a Doctor at Victoria infirmary...and then by the consultant. He was superb. He knew her sight was poor but indicated that doing laser eye surgery would improve her vision slightly.A week after the operation she can get herself dressed, make her own breakfast, read books, and get herself out for a walk. Saying thank you seems a bit pale in comparison to what the consultant has done. My Mum's quality of life has gone beyond all her expectations.Once again...Thank you for your knowledge, time and determination in improving her life. You have no idea how our lives have been changed for the better.

Thank you for your comments and feedback, and taking the time to recognise the excellent care you are clearly very grateful for. We will make sure that this feedback is shared with the staff who were involved in the care and thank them for their efforts. We are really pleased that the treatment has had a really positive impact on your Mothers quality of life, gratitude like this really empowers our staff and helps them feel recognised and motivated. We hope we can provide this type of result to many more of our patients.
