"Cancer care at Aberdeen RI and Dr Gray's hospitals"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cancer Services (Medical Oncology) Dr Gray's Hospital / Oncology / Cancer Pathway

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 at Aberdeen Royal Hospital, the care and consideration I received there by consultants, surgeons, nursing staff was second to none.

I was referred to Dr Grays - Dr Sharma who is a true gentleman and most experience in his field, I had most confidence in him. Was referred for chemo, my Macmillan nurse was helpful experiences and with her (Corrine) I was so confident. The chemo unit was very clean and nothing was a bother to the nurses at all. They made you feel comfortable and relaxed and were always ready to listen and advise in any concern I had during this dreadful time in my life. Even all the reception staff on entering the hospital to check in were helpful and considerate.

I moved here two years ago - the treatment time and the hospitals and local GPs I couldn't have wished for better and really pleased I moved.

Thanks you so much for taking the time to tell us that you have been pleased with your care and treatment at Dr Grays and Aberdeen. We really do appreciate it when patients tell us about their experience.

I'll pass on your appreciation to Dr Sharma, Corrine and the reception staff.

I hope you are well on the way to recovery and able to enjoy some sunny weather if we get more than a day of it!
