"NHS Patients in Safe Hands - Waller..."

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Cardiology

I wish to acknowledge the exceptional care I received from the Principal Manager Echo Dept. and the Nurse Specialist on my recent visit to St Mary's Hospital Paddington. I am by nature an extremely nervous patient. Whereas I welcomed the opportunity to have my heart assessed, the actual thought of stress-testing added a significant degree of anxiety.

My anxiety was placed at ease by the outstanding professionalism, support and care provided by both members of staff. At every juncture of the process they fully explained the procedure and likely outcome. They reassured me by advising that I was to let them know immediately if I was experiencing any unanticipated discomfort and they would tailor the test to resolve such discomfort. I arrived two hours early for my appointment and witnessed first hand how busy the department was. I noted that every patient received first class care and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. I suggest to St Mary's Management that these members of staff are consummate professionals and practitioners of the highest standards of medical care.

As with all services I have received from the NHS over many decades, I owe these NHS staff a debt that I can never repay.
