"Review on one of the gyno doctors"

About: The Whittington Hospital / Gynaecology

I have attended this hospital last week for the first time as my gp reffered me to a gynacologist there..the staff in general were great, they were welcoming and helpful, however, the gyno doctor who i had my appointment with unfortunatly was not as helpful at all, first she came in to the room after the nurse took my history ( she didnt even bother reading my history) and the only thing she read was that i had painful periods, she straight away wanted to put me on contraception, but if she had read my history she would have known that contraception did not work for me as i tried 2 types already, i told her that and other than the period pain i also get other pain like during intercourse ,,,etc , she said ok i will examin you, she really didnt, she only did a very brief examination, then she said everything seems ok, our conversation goes on with me trying to convince her that there is something wrong, then she comes out with this gem saying ( its in your head, your body is just reacting like this) that really shocked me, she just wanted to finish the appointment and get me out of there as soon as possible not even wanting to hear me, i finally convinced her to have another look which she finally did a proper examination, she said you have redness and small cyst like stuff but thats fine its normal,i was so frustrated with her attitude, seriously not helpful not compassionate and doesnt even want to listen to the patient,, i was the one convincing her to reffer me to do a laporoscopy, otherwise she would have just let me go home without even giving it a second thought..very poor service from her
