Pretty happy with her care overall but a little upset with her discharge .
I can not fault the patient care and dedication of the nurses. The cleanliness of the hospital is good and on the whole I am happy . I am a trained RGN myself so know the pressures of care of the elderly .
The day my mother was discharged I had a lawyers appointment. I was told by the doctor they would ring me . I requested that she had transport as she needed help and a wheelchair . The only reason I knew she was being taken home was that my 90 year old mother is internet savvy and can use WhatsApp on her mobile phone . She is profoundly deaf so it’s her lifeline . Had she not had that , and as no one from the ward contacted me , I would have not known she was home. I am her only relative living near her and main point of contact and main carer .
This is the only criticism I have and marred my overall experience .
