I was in the high dependency labour room, the room was very inadequate for a labour room. I feel that if risk assessment is properly done then this room would not pass. The room was too small and congested with all the essential equipment. There was lack of ventilation and extremely hot, two fan was given but this adds more hazards to the room. If I were to be taken out to theatre by the time things are moved out of the room to make the bed to be out a lot of time will be wasted. The baby cot was was worn out and looked dirty, gave me anxiety thinking if I give birth my baby would be placed in it. The tap only runner hot water, even the cold tap was running extremely hot water, too hot to use.also tap was broken as water was constantly dripping.there was trip hazard as in one area of the room part of the floor was ripped which left that part uneven.the toilet was very smelly inside and the sink was so small you can’t stick ur hands under the tap to wash after yourself especially when you have a cannula.the entire environment felt dirty, congested and not suitable for patient. The environment made me very depressed and stressed out and I couldn’t wait to leave.service from staff was good just good staff is not good enough.i would not recommend this hospital to anyone and I feel that it should not be open to public with its current condition. The emergency bell would not stop ringing despite midwife attempted to stop it twice, so more staff came panicking thinking its emergency
