Cancer.. well the breast care Staff the surgeon especially the Plastic surgeon fantastic recovery ward was extremely good. I was then moved to a ward that was not very good I suffer from IBS so for 4 days I did not eat they don’t cater for people like me the food was dreadful the nurses on the ward except for a few had no empathy and should not be in the job medication rounds were at 23.15 very noisy staff when I asked for help because I still had the same gown I had on during the op I was informed that as I was walking I could do it myself I was not able to move my arm.
Very poor care from the Staff but for me I think it was worth it for the plastic surgeon but it’s taken me a long time to recover. The ward was half plastic surgery and half burns lucky the rooms were for two people or one I was in with another lady whose care was even worse then mine. would I go back again i can’t answer that as my local hospital only offer mastectomy no reconstruction but the thought at the moment fills me with horror are our hospitals really into starving there Patients
"food and care poor"
