Went to A&E after four days of what seemed like migraine but then became worried it was something more serious. Was seen very quickly and a number of tests including CT and MRI was organised within a couple of hours. I was looked after extremely well in A&E with the stroke nurse visiting once early test results were in. This great level of care continued when I was admitted onto Ward 1 where I stayed for three days. Ward staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only negative about the whole experience was the food. I was put on a soft diet which I understood as there was a concern regarding choking however the quality of it was absolutely diabolical. Things improved on day three when I was back on normal food. All in all though a definite thumbs up for all the help I received from start to finish, brilliant!
