"Worst surgery for appointment"

About: St. Mary's Surgery

I used to live in Shirley quite close to the surgery, where if I need an appointment I would get one with 24 hours or in 3 to 4 days, Then I moved st mary near James st, sign on with the surgery closer to me there on Johnson st it becomes the worst surgery ive ever joined. Trying to phone you being a charge for a phone call on premium rate, you're on the phone for 20 mins to 45 mins waiting for someone to answer that your phone bill getting higher only to be told they are fully booked for 2 weeks.

You get the same Answer if you go into the surgery to get an appointment the answer is always the same sorry there is no appointment, it takes almost 3 to 4 weeks just to get an appointment if you're lucky.

It's possible the worst surgery to join especially if you need a see a doctor the answer is always they are fully booked, which I dont understand how they could be full book all the time. If I had to recommend this surgery to anyone I would say dont bother because you can never get an appointment when you need one.

We have a full range of appointments for patients who need an appointment.

We have same day appointments with nurses, advanced nurse practitioners and GPs. Routine appointments with a GP are booked one week ahead and appointments are released every day. We also have the facility to book appointments for patients with a Hub doctor or nurse during the day, in the evening up to 21:00 and at weekends.

The reception staff offer choice as best as we can.

We are aware that there are some people who wish to see a GP and do not need to see a GP but we try to use the full range of healthcare staff as appropriate.

I am sorry that you were kept waiting on the phone and would be pleased to look into the reasons for this if you can provide further details.

You may also wish to check with your phone provider as you should only be being charged for a local call.

I am more than willing to look into this for you and you can contact me on 02380210292 or by email at lenbates@nhs.net
