Over 30 years ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and in less than 1 month I was bed-ridden. Eventually drugs managed to give reduce inflammation enough for me to return to work, but for many years I lived in constant excruciating pain. Finally, I got put on modern drugs which were administered by regular injections by myself. Now I have found out that my consultant at DRI has failed to renew my prescription and the home delivery service cannot get DRI to issue one. I have tried every phone number listed for Rheumatology dept. but cannot speak to anyone, as all lines seem to send me to automated options that ignore what I input. Even patient services number just goes to answerphone. It’s no way to deal with patients with chronic illnesses. How do I get in touch with anyone who will help me at DRI?
