32 weeks pregnant and had many episodes of no movements at all with my baby, my midwife was great and referred me straight into hospital! Had many visits for the same thing and scans due to reduced movements and growth. However, when I went back the staff were very rude and not considerate at all! I did what every expectant mother is told to do in in the event of reduced movements and rang the number provided immediately. On the phone staff were rude and implied that I was just wasting their time as I had been in so many times recently. They told me they had gotten me an appointment at 12:30 with pregnancy day care and when I arrived well on time I wasn’t acknowledged at all by any staff until at least an hour later. The staff member I was given was very abrupt when I told her about reduced movements (which she didn’t know about and had no idea why I was there, so nobody had bothered to read my notes or actually make an appointment in the first place). The staff member carried on to be this way and made me and my family member that came with me very uncomfortable! I was ignored for a long time and then asked why I hadn’t come in before 1:30pm as though it was my fault I had been ignored for so long. All staff were sat in the office talking and just chatting away between themselves when I was sat waiting, never spoke to me at all just took my booklet off me and threw it onto their desk. Then couldn’t find it for a while. Other women were coming in with later appointments for the same thing and were getting seen before me. Which I believe is because I was a younger expectant mother as none of these other women were treat with any disrespect by the staff yet I was! Very uncomfortable place to be and would very much recommend anyone to chose a different hospital when choosing where to give birth. Very unhappy with the staff, no consideration for me or my baby at all!
