I recently had a knee replacement at the WHH and whilst I thought the ward surroundings were not ideal the staff made the stay a really positive experience.
Throughout my stay from the surgical admissions unit, to the theatre, recovery and on to the ward, the staff were polite and helpful. I was concerned about the amount of pain I might suffer post the operation, but again my expecations were managed perfectly and I am now back at work and pain free.
I continue to get support from the physio team and this has been crucial in improving my mobility.
