"Arrogance and Contempt"

Tonight (Saturday 10th Aug 2019 at about 8pm) my wife and I were met with arrogance and contempt by one of the nurses at the Huyton Walk In. Ladies on the desk were fine, the triage nurse (we didn’t actually go in and see her, she talked to us in the waiting area) was fine, nurse that was seeing us was fine too. However, as they were not so busy she was being helped by another nurse (I regret not taking her name) and that was when we were met by the contempt and arrogance. Not once did I feel that she took our feelings into consideration, we as parents were concerned for the welfare of our child. However, she was trying to belittle us at every opportunity and question our ability as parents or that was how it felt. She asked had we given our child ibuprofen which in itself is not a problem but it was the tone and manner in which she approached it, we had given our child Calpol but that was not good enough in her eyes. As I said it was not all bad but one person can really sully the mood and make you want to go elsewhere in the hope that you are treated in the correct manner. Empathy in that profession goes a long way.
