"Excellent maternity care"

Last year I had a high risk pregnancy with gestational diabetes hence I was under the care of the OB-GYN consultant team for all my antenatal and post operative care. We are truly grateful for the superb, professional and compassionate care that we received from almost everyone in the antenatal care unit, the operative unit, and the delivery suite. We were encouraged to ask questions, and our numerous doubts and questions patiently answered. We felt involved in the clinical decision making. A big thank you to the consultants, the registrars, radiographers, reception staff at the antenatal unit, the gestational diabetes nurses and midwife team, anesthesiologist, midwifes, MCA, and HCAs on the delivery suite. Our heart fills with gratitude for the staff when we look at our baby who recently celebrated her first birthday. Of course things could be better in terms of reducing the load on staff, reduced waiting time etc. but it is heartening to see the NHS staff that we encountered working so hard to provide best possible patient care and experience.
