"Part-time management"

About: Rivers Hospital

(as the patient),

Got referred to Rivers Hospital (Ramsey Healthcare) by my GP to the pain clinic and had an appointment with a consultant, said would see me for an injection in 6-8 weeks time all good.

I telephoned them the next day to say I could only make a pm appointment due to work (the one the day before was at 3.30pm) and got told by reception I should try another hospital, asked for a manager and got a PA then the next couple of days talking with a matron only to be told they only work 9.30 until 12 and wasn't available and they would get back to me about maybe the end of August. Then get a call for an 1.30pm appointment at the end of July and had an injection.

Complaints procedure - cant e-mail it in but have to write and in the booklet that they had seen me twice it clearly said that somebody will get back to you in three working days , my letter was signed for last week, so telephone a couple of times and got told the lady dealing with it was with somebody then had gone home but this morning the lady said she was just back to her desk, when ever you telephone them you get the person you are trying to speak with is in a meeting but one of the reception staff told me most of the management is only part-time ?? what type of management is Ramsey health care to think that a busy hospital can run with part-time management .
