I suffer from severe gastritis prior pregnancy and was even hospitalised I went to A&E but because I was pregnant they sent me to early maternity triage. over there I explained to the nurse that I have severe chest pain and explained my symptoms, the nurse who assessed me made a comment saying she has the same symptoms etc. And she was very sarcastic. I’m the one who is pregnant and not her! she Could see I’m anxious but was full of sarcasm! She then called up a doctor or someone who then told her that I have to be sent back a&e etc due to my symptoms. When I asked the nurse later how her symptoms are she must’ve realised and suddenly became normal May be because I was sounding sarcastic too? Or the doctor must’ve told her it’s sth
Serious. I also didn’t like the Gynae doctor there during my early pregnancy when I used to come in with pain - later found out it’s SPD. She seemed annoyed when I came in with abdominal or pelvic pain. It was first pregnancy and thank hod I didn’t give birth at newham. I have birth at queens which was amazing they know how to work with anxious new mums too! Queens down side is very minor.
"Very disappointed with early maternity..."
