I presented with a very swollen foot after serious trauma.
X rays taken - told not broken & don't rest. 3 weeks later saw my practice nurse who sent me back
Nurse at James Paget told me I was doing too much. After 3 months my GP sent me straight back for reXray & to be reseen that day. The Radiographer suggested to go back to GP, I did not agree .Back In A & E my Xray was re-examined & the new one. The person in A & E ( very good) contacted orthopaedics as he could see a fracture on the first Xray. Booked to see consultant after weekend. Upto this all could have been understandable error. The consultant was very off hand & when he asked for my opinion as soon I started to speak a nurse stationed outside came in & said there was someone else to see & he waved me out like I would to one of my dogs. Time might be short so why ask what college I went to 40 years ago? He said he could not do anything pain was due arthritis not fracture come back in 6 weeks. Since I have proved fracture with MRI. Have had steroid injection & will probably have to have arthrodesis
"Appalling treatment"
