"Amazing staff and care on Disney ward"

Assessment on the PAU was amazingly quick and organised when my daughter arrived quite poorly with acute anaemia and an awful virus.

Everyone was kind, friendly and caring and put us both at ease during a very worrying and frightening time.

All staff were calm and patient and all appeared to know exactly what needed to be done and what their role was.

No-one was running around like headless chickens or in chaos like some other hospitals we had visited.

Within minutes she had been seen, assessed and a canula put in.

Within a couple of hours we had seen several nurses and the Dr more than once and kept abreast of what was happening and when results were in.

We were admitted that same afternoon to Disney ward where the nurses were lovely and the 'pink ladies' couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

Everywhere was clean and again everyone appeared to work in an organised manner and were very quick to answer concerns or to come once the call bell was rung.

Dr's were amazing and explained procedures and results in a very clear and detailed manner to put any fears to rest.

A pull-out bed was supplied straight away to enable me to stay right by my daughter's side throughout.

I cannot fault the care given by Northampton Hospital at any point, whether it be when my daughter was born there and cared for for 2 weeks, or my most recent visit or her continuous care throughout her 9 years via the children's outpatient's department.

I feel very at ease attending Northampton Hospital as I know my family will receive the best possible care and I trust in their decision making.

I wouldn't hesistate in recommending them and have done so on several occasions.
