"Thank you for my lumbar decompression"

When I had my first consultation with Mr Kamat, he explained the operation needed to relieve the problem with the disc in my back. I was frightened. Fortunately, I did not have to wait too long between the consultation and the surgery. It was very frightening going down to the theatre and wondering what the result would be.

However, it was soon all over, the staff at Thornbury Hospital were wonderful and I was home in 3 days. I have to admit that there were some painful times during the first few weeks after surgery, but this improves and the procedure was certainly worthwhile. I am still careful about what I do but to anyone due to undergo surgery by Mr Kamat, I would say "dont be afraid".
