"Long delay at clinic"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Diabetes Ninewells Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes for my joint diabetic, antenatal appointment. Didn't manage much breakfast as vomited and I'm really hungry but don't want to leave to go get something in case I miss my call. I've asked twice what's happening and been sent away told it's always like this. No one has actually gone to check. It makes me really stressed and angry.

Dear Mum2b

I am really sorry to read about your experience in the clinic and apologise for this terrible delay. I have spoken with the senior staff who will ensure that your feedback is shared with the team to try and prevent there being no information or reassurance given to women waiting to be seen at the clinic. If this situation happens again please ask to speak to a senior midwife or contact me or the complaints and feedback team directly so we can try and assist you at the time.

Please contact me by email if you require assistance.

Wishing you well for your pregnancy

Justine
